YouTube Opens Up Live Streaming to ALL Channels with over 100 Subscribers
If you are not a YouTube partner, you will still be able to livestream on the popular video sharing service. In a blog post, the company announced it will be lowering the streaming requirement form 1,000 subscribers, down to 100. The feature should be hitting accounts in the next few weeks. To activate, just go onto the Account Features page, and hit the enable button for livestreaming. YouTube is also reminding everyone that users can upload custom video thumbnails, compile videos into playlists, and link to outside websites using annotations.
